Granite awarded contract to install GE Frame 6B gas turbine generator centerline pkgs for Motiva CEP

Houston-based Granite Manpower, wins firm price sub-contract under Bechtel Jacobs Joint Venture, to install four GE Frame 6B gas turbine generator centerline packages on the PS4 Area of Motiva's Crude Expansion Project (CEP). The generator sets will provide the power to operate the new facility, which -- upon completion, is expected to be the largest refinery in the United States and one of the top 10 largest refineries in world. Granite's project management and team of 70 specialized craft personnel are in rapid deployment to complete the installation, commissioning, and start-up of all four Gen-Sets by the Summer of 2011.
