To consistently improve safety among our employees working on your project, Granite abides by your specific site safety policies, local regulations, and our own stringent safety standards. Whether inspecting motors suspended above waterways, updating project schedules or commissioning a wind turbine 200 feet above the ground, completing work safely is our highest priority. 
In 2010, we will exceed 13 million man hours worked for the year. Through training, a comprehensive safety observation program, site audits, and additional safety procedures and metrics, we continue to improve our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) performance. When we set a goal of decreasing our Incident and Injury rate below 1.0, many thought it wasn't possible. Today that rate is nearing 0.5, and we've worked over one million continuous man hours without a recordable while working in over 100 countries. Our goal is to reach a rate of 0 accidents, which we will achieve by continuously improving our processes.
