Randy Willis

CEO & President

Randy joined Granite in March 2014 as President and CEO, bringing with him more than 20 years of leadership experience at GE. He has expertise in engineering, project management, and product management, and has held multi-functional leadership roles within GE.

Prior to joining Granite, Randy was the General Manager for GE’s Power Generation Services upgrades business, leading his team to over $2B in record revenue. He developed deep domain expertise of the market and industry as a Field Engineer, District Service Manager, Services Quality Leader, and New Product Introduction Leader for an $8B division. He was a successful Product General Manager for both start-up and established business and a Regional General Manager of a $1.4B services region.  He has extensive global experience, is known for creating business models that achieve value for customers and is an expert at building high performing teams.

Randy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Randy is a certified Master Black Belt and an expert in LEAN Six Sigma.

Morgan Williams


Morgan joined Granite in January 2007 as Chief Financial Officer.  Morgan commenced his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Stamford, Connecticut in the audit sector. He held various roles in the international segment of Hess Oil Corporation as Finance Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and Joint Venture Controller.  In 1997, Morgan joined GE and has held numerous finance roles of increasing responsibility within the energy business supporting Controllership, Information Management and Quality/Simplification.

Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and received his Certified Public Accountant license in Connecticut. He also earned his Six Sigma Black Belt while at GE.

Mort Smith

VP, Service Operations

Mort started his career as a Field Engineer with GE Power Systems, Pacific Region in 1997.  He joined Granite Services in 1998 and has held roles of Field Engineer (Gas Turbine & Controls), Service Manager, Segment Manager, and Global Operations Manager for Technical Services. From 2000-2005, as the VWF Segment Manager, Mort successfully grew the business from one customer and annual revenues of $24Mto 22 GE customers and revenues of $85M,. In the Global Operations Leader role, he drove global business development, closing major rate agreements with customers such as GE Oil & Gas.  As the Operations Manager, he also drove the integration of GTSI/Penpower for the Technical Services business.

Mort was the General Manager for Africa/Asia/India/Middle East/Europe from 2008-2013. He was appointed General Manager, Oil & Gas/Distributed Power in December 2013. He was promoted to Vice President in 2015 and now leads the Service Operations organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Washington State University.

Mica Segui

VP, Human Resources

Mica joined Granite in July 2007 as leader of the HR team for the Americas region. She was appointed Global Compliance Leader in 2011 and also assumed oversight responsibility for the company’s global benefits and wellness functions. She was appointed Vice President of Human Resources in April 2014. In this role, she leads the Granite HR team to foster a culture of safety, integrity, quality, productivity and responsiveness to our customer needs.

Prior to Granite, Mica worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 10 years in various leadership positions. With more than 20 years of human resources experience, she has held key positions in organizational development, compliance, talent management, employee relations, outsourcing, global markets, and compensation. Mica holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tampa and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of South Florida. She is a certified Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). Mica also earned her Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications while at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Rick Safier

General Counsel

Rick joined Granite in December 2015 as General Counsel. Prior to joining Granite, Rick worked as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Gulfmark Offshore, Inc., and as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for T-3 Energy Services, Inc.

As Granite’s General Counsel, Rick advises and provides global oversight on all matters related to corporate, immigration, compliance and labor law. He has more than 18 years of in-house experience driving legal strategy and operations at global, publicly-traded and national privately-held companies in the energy, transportation and technology industries. He has expertise at ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations while optimizing legal processes to manage risk and support business objectives.

Rick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor  from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

Martin Oliver

Global EHS Director

Martin joined Granite in 2015 as the Region Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Director for Europe. In 2016, he was promoted to Global EHS Director and now leads Granite’s global No Harm efforts. Martin has more than 16 years of experience in safety and environmental management. He has worked both on and offshore, with valuable experience across a number of sectors including marine, defense, nuclear and O&G.

He holds two managerial qualifications at honor degree level and holds a Master of Science in safety and environmental management.

John Little

Region GM - Europe

John joined Granite in October 2012 and brings with him a wealth of management experience. He has managed the operations and maintenance of key rotating equipment as both a service provider working for a variety of OEMs’ supporting the Oil & Gas and Power sectors, and as a Station Manager for China Light and Power based in Hong Kong. John holds qualifications in electrical and electronic engineering from Stow College of Engineering in Glasgow and from his time as a Commissioning Engineer with John Brown Engineering Ltd.

He holds a Master of Business Administration and a master’s degree in commercial law.

Luis Leal

Region GM - Middle East & Africa (MEA)

Luis joined Granite in May 2015 as Region GM for the Middle East and Africa region. 

Prior to joining Granite, Luis worked for Johnson Controls, Inc. Building Efficiency division in Guadalajara, Mexico where he was the General Manager for Services responsible for Sales and Operations across Mexico. He also previously worked for GE Power & Water for 13 years in leadership roles of increasing responsibility developing experience in outage execution, project management, fulfillment, product management, and operations. Luis was the Regional Operations Leader for Power Generation Services Latin America where he played a key role in building operational and fulfillment excellence for the region.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in management from Monterrey Tech in Mexico.

Michael Wood

Region GM - North America

Michael joined Granite in 2003 and led the initial set-up and growth of our business in Latin America before being appointed to the GM role over the Americas and President of Granite Manpower (US-Manpower) in 2008.  Since November 2013, Michael has focused on North America as the Region GM. He has 29 years of experience within the power generation industry, including 22 years within the GE family.

He began his career with Southern Company Services’ Alabama Power Company in 1985, and joined GE in 1992 where he held several roles including International Field Engineer, Black Belt, Service Director and Operations Manager for Power Generation Services. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama.

Ted Toth

Region GM - Asia Pacific

Ted joined Granite in December 2013 as Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific. He previously worked at ITT Corporation as the Vice President of International Aftermarket Operations for Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Russia, and Africa.

Other experience includes roles at Dresser-Rand and Ingersoll Rand specializing in Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, and Reciprocating Compressors, with his last role at IR being Vice President, Asia Pacific for the IR Energy Systems business.  During his career he has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, sales, and service. Ted led new equipment sales in Asia Pacific for Upstream Oil & Gas, Refining, and LNG. He later led services growth opening a new rotating machinery service center in Cilegon, Indonesia, and establishing field service teams around the world.

He holds a Bachelor of Science. in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration-International Finance, from Rutgers University.

Wilson Salazar

Region GM - Latin America

Wilson joined Granite in July 2011 as Americas ITO leader, implementing rigor to the proposal preparations of firm price proposals, and integrating productivity best practices impacting price.

Prior to joining Granite, Wilson spent 12 years with GE. Wilson started with GE in Schenectady, New York as a Design Engineer for Power Systems, later moving on to Greenville where he was involved in development of the GE Frame 7H/9H gas turbine technology.  He later moved to the Latin America region, working in Installation & Field Services as a Black Belt, as well as the Operations Leader for the region. Wilson completed the PMLP in 2009 and joined GE Energy’s Performance Services business, managing CM&U projects in the gas turbine segment.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Los Andes in Colombia, a Master of Engineering in mechanical engineering from The City College of New York and a Master of Business Administration from the Chapman School of Business at Florida International University.

Gabriele Palandri


Gabriele joined Granite in 2010, taking on progressively responsible leadership positions with the company. He has served as Europe Service Director, Distributed Power – Oil & Gas, ITO Leader-Europe, EU3 Service Director, Field Operations Director, and Application Engineer.

In 2016, Gabriele was promoted to DP/0&G Director where he provides strategic and operational leadership globally for the Oil & Gas and Distributed Power segments.

He began career with GE, spending six years in GE O&G working first as Proposal Specialist for Rotating Equipment and then as Commercial Operations Manager for Upstream division. He also spent three years at Dresser Wayne as CNG Sales & Marketing responsible for the Far East.
